Versions with different Control Range
The TM133 M/S Stereo Equalizer comes with a standard boost/cut range of
+/- 8 dB. Custom versions with ranges up to 20 dB are possible.
Fully parametric EQ Bands
Apart from the sweep range of the center frequency, the four fully
parametric bands are identical
M & S pots per Band:
The M pot controls the boost/cut for the M-channel; the S pot affects the S-Channel.
Both pots affect the stereo base width; turning the pots to the right
increases the base width; turning to the left reduces the base width. This means
that the S pot produces a boost while the M pot produces a cut when turned to
the right. The setting of the center frequency and the q-factor is identical
for the M and the S pot of the particular band.
This principle makes possible to compensate the audible EQ effect when enhancing
the base width with the S pot by an appropriate setting of the M pot precisely.
Matrix Options:
With the factory standard, the bypass switch is a hard bypass that disables or
enables the entire module. If the module is used within an M/S processing chain
this would cause a change in the format depending on the bypass switch.
Jumper settings in the module make it possible to alter the function the bypass
switch to 'compressor only'. With this setting, the matrix stage are always on
but the compressor is switches by the bypass switch. The INP-MS and OUT-MS switches
are working in both settings.
