0 dB Setting internally calibrated
Ratio Compression Ratio
Control Range from 1 : 1 - (Compressor off) to
1 : 20, Quasi Limiter Operation
Crest affects the behaviour of the AC/DC converter
6 position stepper Switch
1 / Peak - Peak Mode with short Integration Time
6 / RMS - RMS Mode with long Integration Time
2 to 5 / M - Mean Value with medium Integration Time
Attack Attack Time Adjustment for 10 dB Attenuation
Control Range 0.05 ms to 30 ms
(with short attack time settings, the real attack time is depending on the period of the input signal, and the crest setting)
Release Release Time Adjustment for 10 dB Gain Change
Control Range 50 ms to 3 s
Knee Determines the transition from the unregulated level range below threshold to the regulated range above threshold. A setting of 0 dB causes a hard transition. The scale value of any different setting determines the dB range of the transition.
- see Diagram Soft Knee
Envelope The Envelope Control improves the low frequency THD behaviour with short release time settings. The control determines the sphere of action from 0 (off) to 120 Hz.
Fill Mixes the uncompressed input signal to the compressed output signal. This function can cover unwanted side effects of hard compressor settings. Max. Level - 4 dB
LT-Int Longtime integration overlay with 0.3 sec attacktime and adjustable release time. Adds an additional time constant to the control.
Autogain Analog computation circuitry to correct the loss of gain, depending on the settings of threshold, ratio and attack. Operates with threshold settings below 0 dB. Autogain can be disabled.
Side Chain Insert Electronically balanced insert point with identical specifications as the audio inputs and outputs. Allows to include external processing gear to alter the behaviour of the regulation.
Activated by switch.
Output to Side Chain Control function for the side chain insert;
switches the side chain insert input to the output to allow easy adjustment of external gear.
Weight determines how the input channels control the compressor regulation
@ center - the channel (M & S or L & R) with the momentary higher level controls the compressor behavior
M - the compressor is controlled only by the M channel in M/S mode or the left channel in stereo mode
S- the compressor is controlled only by the S channel in M/S mode or the right channel in stereo mode
Balance determines how the channels are linked
@ center - both M & S or L & R are precisely linked
M - compression takes place in the M channel in M/S mode or the left channel in stereo mode only
S - compression takes place in the S channel in M/S mode or the right channel in stereo mode only
Hue Side-chain filter that affects the mid/high frequency compression frequency response with range +/- 6 dB;
shelving curve, 4 kHz, 7 kHz or 10 kHz by switch
Color adds up to 6 % 2nd harmonics at 10 dB gain reduction to the output signal. The percentage depends on the output level. The static color of 2 % takes place without compression.
The dynamic color of up to 6 % - including static color - at 10 dB gain reduction is proportional to the acutal gain reduction
GR-MAX 3-position switch to limit the maximum gain reduction to 5 dB or 10 dB
Enhance 3-position switch to enhance the base width by 8 % or 16 %
works only in M/S mode
- not installed in TM132b
EEQ 3-position switch to activate the elliptic equalizer at
300 or 600 Hz for 15 dB crosstalk
works only in M/S mode
- not installed in TM132b
INP-MS determines the function of the input matrix
default - L/R to M/S conversion on
pressed - L/R to M/S conversion off
OUT-MS determines the function of the output matrix
default - M/S to L/R conversion on
pressed - M/S to L/R conversion off
Matrix Options default - input and output matrix is switched with the bypass of the module
alternate setting by jumper - input and output matrix are always on, bypass affects only the compressor
Display Gain reduction display with 10 LED's,
display range from 1 dB to 25 dB
Bypass Circuitry Hardbypass by Relay
*) The standard supply current is the supply current under realitic operation conditions. If the outputs are loaded with the minium load resistors and the level is at + 30 dBu, the supply current increases by 30 mA per output. The standard supply current shuold be used to calculate the necessary power supply capacity of a system.
