This fader version is designed for the use in a V700 standard frame. It is used as an output fader of a mono processing chain that is build up by several V700 devices. As apposed to the W766 the W766b is implemented as a stand alone device with torodial input and output transformers.
All fader versions of the V700 system are equipped with 128 mm Penny $ Giles faders. All the versions we present here are VCA versions. Audio version are also available. All the faders include a Cut function to mute the signal path and a PFL control circuit. The Cut function can also be implemented as a 'channel on' function. The PFL switch that makes no sense for the use of the W768b can be used for any remote function or left away.
The maximium gain is 15 dB. Different scales and maximum gains are available (max gain 0 dB, 5 dB, 10 dB or 15 dB). The units are implemented in dual balance technology, the maximum level is + 30 dBu. The infinnity cut off isolation is at least 105 dB below 15 kHz. The scale accuracy is better than 1 dB from +15 dB to - 40 dB.
