The U773/U774 advanced compressor/expander units are very luxuriously constructed and full-featured units, with extensive possibilities for the complex dynamic treatment of mono or stereo signals respectively. U773 is the mono version, U774 the stereo version of the device.
Both advanced compressor/expander units offer an unprecedented level of control over all features and functions, and provide a set of high performance tools that will perform up to and beyond your highest expectations.
The U773/U774 advanced compressor/expander has balanced and floating inputs and outputs. All inputs and outputs can process levels up to +30dBu in the frequency range. The look-ahead rule circuit of the device is VCA controlled and affords fast, linear operation. A symmetric circuit is used for the entire audio chain and the internal Headroom from input to output is +30dBu.

Both versions of this module have the same technical specifications. The expander has an electric rectifier on each channel, and the channel with the higher level provides control of the expander
The U773 and U774 advanced compressor/expander modules are standard V700 modules and fit into standard mounting frames.
