Frames and Construction

There are two standard types of mounting frames; both types can be used universally. The RACK version is 5U high and fits into a standard 19-inch rack. It will accept 9 processing modules. CUBE Frames are 5U high tabletop version that accept from 2 to 6 processing modules.


Custom build Systems

Custom systems, including special mounting frames for larger systems or complete custom build consoles based on the V700 Audio Module System alone or in combination with the INTEGRATOR modular audio system can be supplied. Audio Connectors

There are two XLR input and two XLR output connectors for each module slot located on the back of the frame. In addition there is a SubD-25 connector with 8 additional audio lines and a SubD-9 connector for control inputs and outputs. The XLR connectors are always used for the main audio inputs and outputs. The use of the 8 additional audio lines on the EXT I/O SubD-25 connector depends on the module version that is installed. Every slot can be used for surround devices, are there are 12 audio connections per slot. The control connector is used for remote controls and configurations with certain module versions. Alternatively it can be used for additional audio lines. With the RACK frame the main inputs and outputs of slot 1 to 8 is wired to 4 additional SubD-25 connectors in parallel. This allows easy connections of 8 channel blocks to commonly wired audio equipment.

Power Connectors and Grounding

A 12-pin connector is used for the power supply connection. A female and a male multipin connector in parallel make it possible to connect several frames in daisy chain mode. Every frame has its own grounding section. The separately wired electrical grounds can be bridged by shorting plugs.

Power Supply Units

Several power supply units are available. The IN1 unit is a small power supply with 100 W output power. It can be used to supply CUBE frames with only a few modules installed. The IN3 is the standard power supply unit for the adt-audio V700 audio module system. It is a 2U high rack mounted device that has an output current of 3 amperes. The capacity of the IN3 is high enough to supply a complete mastering frame with stereo modules or 12 to 20 mono audio modules. The IN6 is a 3U high device with double the capacity of the IN3. These 3 power supply devices cover the needs of almost all FRAME and CUBE based adt-audio V700 systems. Of course, power supply units with higher capacities are available too.
