It is obvious that the ToolMod system can be used to combine any kind of modules in any desired way. The ToolMod sets are some examples of common setups for a common application. The picture shows a ToolMod Processing Set with noise gate, compressor, equalizer, and limiter
Analog Audio Processor ToolMod AAP
The ToolMod analog audio processor set combines a complete set of processing devices to a channel strip without mic pre. Such a combination covers all needs of analog signal processing for a mono track and should be at hand for at least the most important tracks. The combination of modules is almost equal to the processing section of console input modules of the music production mixing consoles 5MT Series MR. A similar set of processing devices, TM116 Noise Gate with Filters, TM112 Compressor, TM105 5-Band Equalizer, and TM115 Peak Limiter is also part of the ToolKit Channel Strip; however, leaving out the mic pre makes the analog audio processor a lot less expensive.

The wiring of the modules on the connector panel of the frame makes it possible to connect the side chain inputs of compressor and gate in a way that the order of the units can be exchanged, just by activating the side chain or key insert, respectively. Noise-gate and compressor can be used pre or post the eq without the need of a different wiring of the audio installation.
