The prices on this web site do not include shipping, packing and insurance. The total shipping cost depends on the weight and your location. The entire shipping amount is divided into packing cost, insurance, the cost for the transport and in some cases an additional customs fee.
We determine the shipping cost for any order and include the real cost in the quotation that we send. If you have any questions, please get in touch.
For Germany and most of the countries in the Euopean Union, we usually ship by UPS Ground, which is the best compromise between transit time and cost per weight, as long as the total weight is less than 31.5 kg / 70 lbs. UPS Ground will take between 1 and 2 days for Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, Denmark, United Kingdom, and most of the eastern countries as well. The transit time for all other countries is 2 to 4 days. Other shipping methods are also possible,of course.
Since the shipping total depends on the weight and, as far as the insurance is concerned, also on the grand total, it is not possible to determine the cost with a simple table. Just to give you an idea, here some examples.
Europe
Shipping to Germany, weight 20 kg / 44 lbs, UPS Ground, 2 days max.. The weight is equal to 2 or 3 1U high 19" units and a power supply. The shipping cost exclusive of insurance is about € 25.00. The insurance adds 1 % of the grand total to this amount.
For all countries in Europe, the shipping of the same parcel is in the range from € 50.00 to € 100.00.
As long as transit time is not an issue, international parcel post by DHL is an alternative at lower cost. The weight of a single parcel is limited to 20 kg/44 lbs. Using this method is only possible if the weight of a single item is not higher than 20 kg. The transit time is 3 to 8 days, depending on the location.
USA, Canada
UPS Ground is not available for US and Canada from Germany and the cost for UPS Express or FedEx is not reasonable. A 20 kg/44 lbs to US results in a shipping total of € 200.00 to € 300.00; however, the transit time is only 2 days. The best shipping method is international parcel post. The cost for 20 kg / 44 lbs is € 75.00, incl. packing and a basic insurance for up to € 2,500.00. The transit time is approximately 8 working days. Above € 2,500.00, € 15.00 is added per each € 2,500.00. The maximum amount per parcel is € 25,000.00. If the total is above € 1,500.00, an additional fee of € 30.00 for the customs papers will be added. Apart from that, there are no additional costs, fees, taxes or anything else. However, it may be possible that you have to pay an import tax or custom fee, when importing. Please make sure with your local authorities if this is the case. The items will be marked as 'audio amplifiers' in the tax papers.
Australia, Asia, Africa, South America
Like USA and Canada, UPS Ground is not available for these regions and the cost for UPS Express is not reasonable. International parcel post is again the best way. The cost for 20 kg / 44 lbs for these countries is € 100.00 and the transit time can be up to 15 days, depending on the location. All the rest is the same.
Insurance
We usually take out a transport insurance on your behalf to make sure that the risk of loss or damage of the gear is fully covered. The insurance premium depends on the shipping method and your location.
Customs Fee
A customs fee is only added if your location is outside the European Union. In this case customs forms have to be filled out and processed. If the total amount is below €1,500 only a simple form is required. Above €1,500 other forms are necessary and the goods have to be inspected by the local customs office. The customs fees is € 30 for a total above € 1500.
